A get together party ("reunion") for people with real or sentimental "Patch Roots" in Taylor's "Felt's Patch" was held on August 16, 2014 at St. George's Center, 743 Keyser Avenue, 18517. The program was appropriately simple. The fun was in seeing others who many hadn't seen in decades and renewing old treasured acquantences and friendships.
- 3:00 - Welcome ... registration
- 3:30 - Cocktail hour/Hors D'oeuvres with Cash Bar
- 5:00 - Buffet dinner with salad, various meat and pasta dishes, veggies, desserts, coffee.
- Guest speaker PA State Representative Sid Michaels Kavulich
- Special Gubi appearance
It was heartwarming and a pleasant surprise to see the great interest shown.. even though so many requests came late. There were approximately 220 guests. In fact this was all that could be accomodated in the hall.
Most importantly, it was reported over and over that a good time was had by all!!
Because of the enthusiam shown, the committee is considering holding another one, perhaps in the summer of 2015. We are considering a 'clambake', picnic - BBQ format.
For further information, to offer to help, or to indicate interest in attending another "get together" in 2015, you can email feltsville@gmail.com or click on the envelope below.
